AGF has launched a new site, the Center for Applied Research and Development (CIAD). It is located in the Scientific and Technological Park of Badajoz. This new expansion has been the result of the need to increase space and capacities for all R&D lines, also investing in new research staff.
It continues with previous studies and opens new lines of research in Renewable Gas production and reactor development. During these years, important research activities have been developed that have generated great results with direct industrial application, having been key for the processes and industrial plants that AGF has built and currently operates. AGF develops on its own all the processes it commercializes. This is proprietary technology in continuous development. The entire AGF’s R&D is developed in this center, which also provides services to third parties.

It currently has more than 20 laboratory reactors of 15L fully equipped for continuous research and as many others for charge studies; as well as reactors equipped for research of aerobic biochemical processes or gas absorption and separation processes. They are also equipped with composition analyzers and gas production measurement, including the system developed by AGF that allows to follow the process kinetics.
The capabilities of the Center allows the testing of new materials, in production and process stability, as well as the simulation of plants and process optimization. It is also in charge of supporting industrial plants, allowing to simulate and optimize processes or to evaluate new potential substrates before their industrial use.
The current building is part of a major project that will be executed in phases over the next few years.
