With more than four years of experience injecting biomethane into the grid and in the midst of constructing two new biogas and biomethane plants that will be commissioned in 2026, AGF has consolidated its national biomethane technology with demonstrable results.
Since 2021, AGF has been successfully operating facilities that inject biomethane into distribution pipelines, continuously maintaining a gas quality with CO₂ below 1% and O₂ below 0.3%.
Furthermore, since 2023, AGF’s technology has been injecting directly into transport pipelines at over 60 bar, achieving the same standards of purity and reliability.
Operational results demonstrate the maturity and stability of the technology:
- More than 99% of operating time producing gas in accordance with specifications.

- Capacity to treat biogas with up to 2,000 ppm of H₂S, producing biomethane within specifications.
- Effective strategies for treating vent streams, complying with odour and emission regulations.
- Total integration: AGF’s biomethane plant incorporates chromatography and final compression for injection into high-pressure gas pipelines, all within a single compact facility.
